School Bus and State-Run Bus Collide in Raichur, Several Students Injured
Raichur, Express News: A serious accident occurred near Kapagal village in Manavi taluk of Raichur district on Thursday when a school bus carrying 40 students collided with a state-run NEKRTC bus. The school bus was traveling from Kapagal to Manavi when the incident took place.
According to sources, three students sustained severe leg injuries that may require amputation due to the extent of the damage. The injured students were immediately rushed to RIMS Hospital in Raichur, where they are receiving treatment.
Local authorities have confirmed that the Manavi police have registered a case and are investigating the incident. The cause of the collision is yet to be determined, but both vehicles were reported to have suffered significant damage.
Parents and local residents have expressed concern over the safety of children on school buses and are urging the authorities to ensure stricter safety protocols to prevent such tragic incidents in the future.
